An Evening of Movement and Flowers
This fall, we had the joy of hosting Eleven Eleven Yoga right here in the flower field for Yoga in Bloom, and it truly was everything I hoped it would be and more.
We set up mats right between the dahlia rows for an all levels yoga class, surrounded by the flowers. The weather could not have been better, we had a perfect blue sky above us!
As a flower farmer, I usually walk the field with a running mental checklist. What needs to be cut. What needs water. What needs attention next. Practicing yoga in the middle of the flowers forced me to step out of farmer mode for just a bit and actually be present in the space we work so hard to care for. (Although I did catch myself pulling a few weeds from right where I was sitting.)
After yoga, everyone moved over to the flower bar to create their own arrangements. Attendees selected from a mix of fresh flowers and foliage, building something personal and seasonal to take home. The dahlias were the real stars. They were cut on the spot, straight from the field, with guests choosing exactly which blooms they wanted to include in their arrangement.
Yoga in Bloom was a reminder of why we love hosting experiences at the farm. It is not just about flowers or events. It is about slowing down, connecting with the season, and sharing the field in a way that feels meaningful.
We are so grateful to Eleven Eleven Yoga for bringing their energy and guidance to the farm, and to everyone who joined us for this beautiful evening among the flowers. We cannot wait to do it again!
